Democrats, Ignore the Never Trumpers
Dear Democrats,
This morning I woke up to a tweet that made me feel as though I was the actor, Bill Murray, from the movie Groundhog Day movie — where you’re waking up to the same time and event on repeat. It was a tweet by S.E. Cupp, a conservative, which says, “Dems swinging to the extremes with unpopular policies for majority Americans will hand this cretin another four years. Get it together. Be Dems, but rational Dems. Play the G-D game, or you will lose it.”
Like, haven’t I been here with Never Trumpers, who have self-anointed themselves to telling the left to, “Be Dems,”(wink wink) but, not really? And how do I wake-up from the nightmare?
I’m certain Never Trumpers’ don’t give a damn about left-wing policies or the Democratic party. They are currently politically homeless — and they’re looking for a new home to colonize. Only problem, the home they have moved into already has tenants, the Democrats.
Never Trumpers want their party back, but it’s looking that the conservative movement has swung permanently to Trump. Thus, they’ve decided to invade the left space. Hoping to harness it all for themselves. Never Trumpers’ do not give two cents about the Democratic electorate, nor do they care about liberalism and progressivism. Instead, their mission is to dictate the terms of a contract no one on the left propositioned. And the terms are: Be Republican-lite.
Meaning,
“Ignore progressivism and the buzzing candidacy of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT).
Ignore the shift towards a universal government to serve the people.
Ignore popular left-wing policies like the Green New Deal, student debt relief, Medicare-for-All, gun control, police reform, support for reproductive rights, replace decriminalizing illegal immigration to citing it as a civil offense instead, etc.
